Valid passport or passport card required. Irish passports do not have a minimum validity requirement while travelling within the EU. When travelling within Europe with an Irish passport, it should be valid for the duration of your stay. Irish citizens do not require a visa to enter Hungary. Holders of valid Irish passport granted visa-free travel on condition that visit does not exceed 90 days. For stay exceeding that period, residence permit required.
