Privacy Policy

Introduction
Days Monitor ("we", "our", or "us") takes your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights - across both the Days Monitor website (daysmonitor.com) and the Days Monitor iOS app.
We have designed our products so that your personal travel data stays under your control. On mobile, we never see it at all.
How Your Data Is Stored
Days Monitor Website (daysmonitor.com)
If you create an account on the website, your travel history (entry and exit dates, countries visited) is stored on our servers so that you can access it across sessions and devices. We also store your email address and account credentials.
If you use the free calculator without creating an account, your travel data is stored only in your browser session and is not saved to our servers.
Days Monitor iOS App
The iOS app does not require an account. You can optionally use Sign in with Apple to link your data to your Apple ID for sync and recovery; if you do, we receive the identifier Apple provides (and your email address only if you choose to share it).
Your travel data is stored locally on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, synced to your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit framework. This sync is between your device and your iCloud - it does not pass through our servers. Location is processed on your device to log the country or state you are in, and photo-library scanning (for rebuilding travel history) also happens entirely on your device. Neither your location history nor your photos are uploaded to us.
The Days Monitor team has no access to your travel data in the iOS app. We cannot see it, read it, or retrieve it. It belongs entirely to you.
Information We Collect
Website - With an Account
- Email address and account credentials
- Travel history data (entry and exit dates, countries visited)
- Subscription and payment information (processed by Stripe - we do not store your full card details)
Website - Without an Account
- No personal information is collected
- Travel data entered into the calculator is stored only in your browser session
iOS App
- All travel data (days, locations, rules) stays on your device or in your personal iCloud account - we never receive it
- If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the identifier Apple provides, and your email address only if you choose to share it
- Anonymised usage analytics (which screens and features are used, subscription funnel events) via Mixpanel, processed on EU servers - never your travel data, locations, or countries visited
- Crash and error reports via Sentry, so we can fix bugs - these contain technical diagnostics, not your travel data
- Subscription status and purchase receipts via Apple and RevenueCat, so your Pro access works across devices
Analytics & Cookies
On the website, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it (pages viewed, time on site, general geographic region). This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. We also use Cloudflare Turnstile on forms to prevent spam - this does not track you across sites. In the iOS app, we use Mixpanel for aggregated feature-usage analytics as described above.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our services
- Calculate your visa and travel day compliance
- Process payments and manage subscriptions (via Stripe)
- Send you essential account and service notices
- Respond to your questions via our contact form
- Understand website usage patterns to improve the experience
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Stripe - payment processing. Stripe handles your card details directly; we never store your full card number. Stripe's Privacy Policy
- Google Analytics - website usage analytics (aggregated, non-identifying). Google's Privacy Policy
- Google Sign-In - optional authentication for website accounts. Google's Privacy Policy
- Cloudflare Turnstile - form spam protection. Does not track users across sites. Cloudflare's Privacy Policy
- Apple iCloud (CloudKit) - iOS app data sync. Data is stored in your personal iCloud account and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy
- Sign in with Apple - optional iOS app authentication. Apple's Privacy Policy
- RevenueCat - iOS subscription management (purchase receipts and subscription status; no travel data). RevenueCat's Privacy Policy
- Mixpanel - iOS app usage analytics, processed on EU servers (feature usage and funnel events; no travel data or location history). Mixpanel's Privacy Policy
- Sentry - iOS app crash and error reporting (technical diagnostics only). Sentry's Privacy Policy
Data Security
We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, and our servers are hosted on DigitalOcean's secure infrastructure. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers. iOS app data is protected by Apple's device encryption and iCloud security.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. However, we take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your data.
Data Retention
Website accounts: We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your travel data is permanently removed from our servers.
iOS app: Your travel data lives on your device and in your iCloud; we never had it, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Usage analytics and crash reports are retained by our providers (Mixpanel, Sentry) under their retention policies, and subscription records by Apple and RevenueCat for as long as needed to service your purchase.
Your Rights
If you have a website account, you have the right to:
- Access and receive a copy of your personal data
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Object to processing of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time
To exercise any of these rights, contact us through our contact page.
iOS app users: Your travel data is managed directly on your device or through your iCloud settings - we cannot access it. For the limited data we do process (Sign in with Apple identifier, usage analytics, crash reports), contact us and we will delete it or direct the request to the relevant provider.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the revised policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
